A lot of people choose to fail and if one day people just started paying other students for doing good then the people who choose to fail will most likely choose to pass and do well. Paying for grades is one of the smartest things I have ever heard of. You will have higher GPA's and higher grades. Doesn't everyone want that? I know I do. If you do well in school you can find a great college that will accept you. You will find a better job to do. Every student and every parents want to see students passing. Everyone ioves money so what a better way to get students to pass than to basically bribe them with money?

I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Why should a kid be forced to wear a school uniform when it's their parents that pick out their outfits anyways? Why would you wanna spend a lot of money on a uniform just for school? "The cost issue has been a great selling point for a lot of schools," Buesing said. "It's $150 on the average to buy a year's worth of school uniforms." With school uniforms kids will not act any better. Just because gang members can't wear their colors to school doesn't mean they aren't wearing them outside of school. And I'm pretty dang sure that they will still wear some colors to school to. People find ways. In our school a lot of people wear leggings and yoga pants. I don't think they should be allowed to wear those because their butts are all out and you can see the lining of underwear. I just really don't like the idea of school uniforms. They can wait until I'm out of school to do that stuff.

I agree with you Haley. If everyone wasn't trying to be higher up in the class rank then maybe, just maybe, there wouldn't be as many people cheating. Society is a big part of cheating because everyone wants you to do well, but people don't like trying. Having someone proof read a paper and having them suggest stuff would be a good thing to have. You always have some small mistakes that you re-reading can't find sometimes. Yes people cheat on a lot of stuff, but it's not getting them anywhere.

I admit if I got paid to come to school like I do when I go to work I would be here everyday and not wanna miss so much. I've told my mom that so many times. Like a job you have responsibilities to do and you do them because you are getting money. I believe that if students got paid to come to school, do their homework, and do well on test that grade point averages will go up. "Students succeed academically only if they want to succeed and feel capable of doing so. If they lack either desire or confidence, they will not be successful". The only reason people go to their job everyday is because they have stuff they have to pay for. If students got money from anyone they would be able to help out at home and pay some expenses. Because if anyone lives with a single parent and they only have one income then they know the struggles of what it is like. Your mom or dad is always so stressed out and you can't do anything about it because you have to go to school then you have so much homework that you can't really have a job or just that you can't get a job because you have to take care of your younger siblings. Getting paid for grades would be such a great motivation and a great reward to the people who do try and do succeed. Yeah money isn't always going to be handed to you when you do something amazing and good, but it gives students what its like in the real world when you have a job and you do well you can get raises and all that good stuff.

There are many people who like uniforms and others who think they are the stupidest things in the world. Something that people don't often think about is that THEY COST MONEY. Some people don't have money to spend on uniforms and stuff that goes with it. Yes uniforms can save lives and "Stop gang related violence", but sadly some people don't have money to spend on that stuff. And if some people couldn't afford them they got hand me downs and hand me downs are tore and stained.

Secondly, the myth of uniforms is that is is a social leveler. But in many European countries with good schools DON'T have uniforms. In the 90's, Bill Clinton thought that uniforms might be the answer to gang-related violence, but that didn't work. Just because you make students wear uniforms does not mean't that they are going to stop what they are doing. People are still gonna do what they were doing before the school made them wear them.

My personal opinion is that uniforms will make people more upset because when people wear what they wanna wear to school they would be more happier. They can express their personality and enjoy school. If someone is stuck in a polo and skirt and don't feel comfortable then that's just gonna make them feel insecure.

According to Suzanne Moore she said she had missed a lot of school on account of the attitude and having to wear the uniform. A teacher once said to her, "Don't ask questions, girl, and put your tie on properly." Do you really want that kind of attitude going around a school? Kids don't listen to what teachers or parents say most of the time anyways.

Studies shows that 51 percent of teens age 17 or younger believed that cheating was necessary for success, while only 10 percent of people older than 50 thought the same. I feel like people are stressed and pressured into cheating because everything is based on grade base and everyone wants to pass the classes. Technology makes cheating easy to do. A study in 2013 said that if you're parents are divorced you are most likely to cheat. Being religious does not predict cheating, a separate study found that people who believe in a kind and loving God are more likely to cheat than those who believe in an angry God. Cheating is not a good thing to do, but a lot of people have confessed to doing so. You aren't going to get a big reward for doing it besides passing a class. But if teachers or professors find out that you did cheat you might get kicked out of that class and won't get your credits for it.

Some schools that I have read about have gotten better with the bullying all around. A school principle in New Zealand gave his students more freedom during recess. He didn't enforce the laws so they could skateboard, climb trees, and climb on the old tires. McLachlan, the shcool principle, said, "bullying occurs when students are not engaged or motivated. Rather than turn on each other in the absence of rules, the children took advantage of their new found freedom to engage in creative and cooperative play." For them bullying decreased so much that their timeout area was not needed. Some schools know how to stop the bullying and enforce the rules, but not a whole lot of them do.

Many of the books that are "Banned" we have read in school. Why ban books? People should be able to pick what books they want to read. If they are "old" enough to be able to understand and act like a grown up during the whole book then you should be able to read it. If people aren't old enough to be able to pick what books they want to read then how are people old enough to choose life decisions? The people that are about to graduate are making more of a life decision than having someone say, "You can't read this book because it has some bad things in it."
