That's the thing, SOME schools have gotten better. Not all. Not even most. We still hear about people committing suicide because they are be bullied about so many things. Schools should pay more attention to the students in their school. The bullying could be right in front of they’re eyes and they probably don’t notice. One-third of all school-aged children are bullied each year, according to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. Students who are bullied often suffer academically and lose self-esteem and self-worth, several studies have found.

Every day thousands of teens wake up afraid to go to school. Bullying is a problem that affects millions of students, and it has everyone worried, not just the kids on its receiving end. Yet because parents, teachers, and other adults don't always see it, they may not understand how extreme bullying can get. www.stopbullying.gov. I’d say schools need to do more about it. In this article i read it said that if somebodys child was being bullied they would notify the parents and send a consent form home for the parents to sign so the school could investigate. http://www.districtadministration.com/article/are-schools-doing-enough-stop-bullying

According to distraction.gov 10% of all drivers under the age of 20 involved in fatal crashes were reported as distracted at the time of the crash. This age group has the largest proportion of drivers who were distracted. Drivers in their 20s make up 27% of the distracted drivers in fatal crashes. At any given daylight moment across America, approximately 660,000 drivers are using cell phones or manipulating electronic devices while driving, a number that has held steady since 2010. I feel like people need more education on the seriousness of this matter. I can’t say I haven’t ever done it but i realize that it’s a huge, serious, scary thing. It could be fatal and some people don’t understand that. These laws that they are trying to enforce don’t do anything so why would making more laws help? It wouldn’t, people need to know that their life COULD be ended in seconds. Along with any other people or drivers they put in danger while being distracted with electronics.

When i was little i remember getting to go play outside when i was done with my homework. I was never hurried through it. Homework is an important thing, it makes the students realize what the teacher is trying to teach to you. It allows the students to know what will be on the tests. Its like studying, but its an assignment. Yes, i know we all hate homework but i think that i'd rather have good grades and passing high school than flunking everything and never graduating.

I can honestly say i don’t like having homework. But lets be real here, if our teachers didn’t assign us homework some of us students wouldn’t know what the teachers have been teaching for the last couple of weeks. Homework may be a hassle in our minds but in the long run it really does help us. It helps refresh our minds on what's been going on in class so we don’t just forget about it. In this site it tells us the importance of homework-https://sites.google.com/site/importanceofhomework/pros- None of us like homework, but would you rather know what’s going on in class and have good grades when it comes to assignments and tests or would you rather fail everything? The time spent after school on class assignments may help students better remember their material and further more enforce what they learned in school that day. Homework can also keep the parents informed about what their son or daughter is learning at school.

I dont think that school uniforms would improve anybodys behavior. If you force kids to wear something they didn’t want at all they’re going to act out. I was reading through an article about the cons of school uniforms on kidsfashion.about.com and everything have listed seems to be right. I think so anyways. Kids like to wear something they’re comfortable in. Some girls aren’t comfortable wearing dresses and skirts. Also, the school and staff members need to consider the financial side of this. Think about the low income families and the families with multiple kids going to school. That would be really expensive and a huge burden for them. Therefore, school uniforms are just a bad idea.

I think that school uniforms are a bad idea. They would give students a bad attitude and give them every reason possible to complain all the time. According to sheknows.com, uniforms detract students from their individuality, students will always find ways to express themselves, leading to less desirable forms of expression. The extra cost for these would be a big problem too. It would be hard for low income families. Its a financial burden. That would be one of the main problems of this idea. Uniforms for a public school would be just absolutely ridiculous. Making low income families pay for something like that would unfair and rude. I wouldn’t ever be for uniforms.

I think students should have the right to choose what they want to read. Especially if this student is in high school. As high school students we should be able to decide what we want to read and not be told we can't read it. We are old enough to decide if we can or can't handle what to read. If the teachers and/or adults don't like these books then don't read them. If we like them and we like to read them then whats it to you adults? If we are enjoying what we are reading and we're actually reading then whats the problem? Maybe you should set an age limit to ban the books. Like middle school and down. The high school students are able to decide on their own.
