Sunny I agree with you. Homework does build responsibility. I also believe that homework helps show the teachers that you know and understand what you have learned for the day. Homework is good but to an extant. When students grow up and get really good jobs, there might be a time where you are needed to make a powerpoint thats due in a week. Kids who get their work done on time will be able to do this but, other kids might not think so. Homework help strengthen the brain and help feel your vocabulary. Students learn how to manage their time wisely in order to get all the work done. For example, after school they may have track or softball and when they get home the only thing that the student wants to do is go to bed. But, knowing that they have work to do, they manage to finish it for the next day. Hartley, James. "Is homework good for you?" Psychology Review Sept. 1999: 26. General OneFile. Web. 25 Apr. 2014. Although this is all based on opinion, I read that “a clear relationship between the time that the pupils reported that they spent on homework and achievement in school examinations, with the best achievement being recorded by pupils who spent over 75 minutes each weekday evening on their homework.” It doesn’t take very long to do a little homework before bed or going out.

Most students do cheat. It still does not mean it’s okay to do so. I admit that I have cheated on some homework. Cheating does not help you learn the material. If you cheat on one paper than the next day have a test, you won’t know how to do that problem or what to do when you come to it. It’s a lot easier to go to a teacher and ask for help if you don’t understand what to do or how to do the problem. In the article Cheaters justify gaming the school system I came across a question that made me think about it. “If you have a chance to cheat on an exam and with no risk at all of being caught, what's your choice?” What would you do? McCarthy, Colman. "Cheaters justify gaming the school system." National Catholic Reporter 20 Dec. 2013: 28. General OneFile. Web. 25 Apr. 2014.

I have never used my phone during a test but I have read in most of the article’s that students do use their cell phone to cheat. They will take pictures of cheat sheets and send it to other friends. I’ve never seen that done before but it’s possible. In Cellphones and children I read that “the use of cellphones has increased the menace of cheating during school and college exams.” I for one don’t have the “guts” to take my phone out during a test. I will after a test but not during. I feel that students should be focused on the test not the phones. Some kids can’t stand being away from their phones for 30 minutes. Me on the other hand, I don’t care if my phone dies or I leave it at home. It’s nice to go one day without a phone for a day. "Cellphones and children." Technology Times 25 Nov. 2012. General OneFile. Web. 25 Apr. 2014

Students have become so good at cheating they don’t get caught. Most teachers say if the student gets caught cheating that they will get a zero on the test or paper. People have made it easier to cheat and get away with it. In the article Test cheating probe leads to reassignments in Dekalb county district I came across something that I thought was interesting. “From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Twenty-four DeKalb County (Ga.) school district employees have been removed from their positions as a result of an investigation into cheating on statewide student exams.” Teachers are going to an academy to learn what to look for in cheating. "Test-cheating probe leads to reassignments in DeKalb County (Ga.) district." American School & University [Online Exclusive] 27 Jan. 2011.General OneFile. Web. 25 Apr. 2014. Cheating is not right. No matter how fast or gade your grades are, you should not cheat. Thats not how people learn the material. I do think that kids are pressured into cheating. Most students want to impress their parents and want to get into a good college. They feel if they cheat they will receive a better grade.

I for one think that kids/adults should pay more attention to the road than other things around them. People focus more on other stuff more than the road causing wrecks. It frustrates me when I see someone driving and talking on the phone or texting. It makes me think about all the negatives that could happen. Then I start to wonder if they have kids with them while they are texting and talking on the phone. So I believe that focusing on the road is way more important than any other thing that you may think is worth focusing on. We should have a stricter law forcing the ones who try to disobey that. Is it really that important than others life? What about your own life. Is it worth it? I think not! “In 2012, nearly 3,400 people (3,328, actually) died in a distraction-affected crashes, according to the U.S. Dept. of Transportation (DOT). An estimated 421,000 people were injured in crashes that involved a distracted driver. Approximately 660,000 drivers use a cell phone for talking or texting at ANY GIVEN MOMENT in time across the country.” ("Put down the phone and promise to drive distraction free." Fleet Owner [Online Exclusive] 14 Apr. 2014. General OneFile. Web. 23 Apr. 2014.) This passage is sad. That's a lot of people to be injured or dead. We should all think twice before reading that last text or answering that one phone call.

I have to say i agree with the uniform idea. Although students don’t like the way they look or thinks it "dumb" to wear a uniform, I believe that it helps the student and other students focus on what's important. It takes less time to get ready in the morning and students won’t tease the other students about what they wear or what they look like. Students tend to get better grades when they are forced to wear the uniforms rather than not wearing them. They focus on their education more than others appearance.

I feel as if bullying in schools is not getting stopped. Bullying causes many mental problems that may lead to more severe problems such as drugs, alcohol, suicide problems, and future murders. Kids go home every day and have to worry about problems at home on top of all the bullying being done in school. The things kids say to other kids are harsh. They tease, call names, hit, talk about the “weird kid” and much more. I read this brief article over teasing and I found it interesting that the bully in that case said “ No one hung the rope for her”. That may be the case, but what caused her to do it? That's the big question here. I have hope that schools will make a bigger effort in this bullying situation at schools all around the world.

I believe people have the right to choose what books they read. Books shouldn't be banned, they are a part of American history. They should not take away our right to choose what we read.
